Ergonomics & Manual Handling Toolbox Talk (SCORM)
The human spine is a column made up of vertebrae.
The vertebrae are held together by ligaments.
In between the vertebrae are cushions called discs.
When standing in the natural position your spine will form an S shape. While in this position your spine is strong and safe, the soft tissues supports the spine and your body load is evenly distributed. Maintaining a poor posture for more than 20 minutes will weaken your back muscles and may eventually lead to an injury.
